PA (Polyamide, commonly known as Nylon) is a synthetic polymer with repeating amide groups (-NHCO-) in its molecular backbone. As one of the four major engineering plastics, it offers excellent mechanical strength, wear resistance and self-lubrication, making it widely used in automotive, electronics, machinery manufacturing and other industries.

PA, also known as polyamide or nylon, is a widely used thermoplastic engineering plastic available in grades such as PA6, PA66, and PA12. It offers a balanced combination of high mechanical strength, good wear resistance, fatigue durability, and inherent self-lubricating properties. PA materials also show good resistance to oils, fuels, and mild acids and alkalis, making them suitable for demanding industrial environments. Among different grades, PA66 provides higher strength and improved heat resistance, making it suitable for high-load and structural applications, while PA6 offers better toughness, impact resistance, and easier processing. Due to its versatility and cost-performance balance, PA is commonly used in gears, bearings, connectors, brackets, housings, structural components, automotive parts, and electrical and electronic applications.
