A class of polymer materials that combines the high elasticity of rubber and the thermoplasticity of plastics. It exhibits elasticity at room temperature, can be melt-processed at high temperatures without vulcanization, and is environmentally friendly and recyclable.
TPE is a multi-component blend or copolymer polymer material, typically composed of hard segments (plastic phase, providing strength and processability) and soft segments (rubber phase, providing elasticity and flexibility). By adjusting the ratio of soft and hard segments, the hardness of the material can be precisely controlled (Shore A 0- Shore D 70). Its processing method is consistent with plastic, supporting various processes such as injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, and wrapping, with high molding efficiency. Compared with traditional rubber, TPE does not require vulcanization crosslinking and has a shorter production cycle; Compared to plastics, TPE has excellent resilience and flexibility. In addition, TPE can be classified into multiple types based on different substrates (such as TPE-S, TPV, TPO, TPU, TPA, etc.), with good chemical stability. Some grades can meet food grade and medical grade standards, comply with environmental regulations such as RoHS and REACH, and are widely used in the automotive, consumer electronics, tool, medical, cable, toy, and industrial fields. The product can be customized according to its hardness, tensile strength, rebound, wear resistance, weather resistance, oil resistance and other properties, and is environmentally friendly and recyclable.
